Welcome to the website for the International Association of Women Spiritual Leaders. Ruth and I are two women who have a passion for supporting women on their spiritual journey and in their work. We found each other quite by “accident” (or divine intervention if you prefer).

We met at a conference in Las Vegas of all places – we were there learning how to market our small businesses. I was sitting on a bench before the doors opened and Ruth asked if she could join me. We began chatting and one thing lead to another. And wouldn’t you know it…it turns out we both had attended seminary to become Interfaith Ministers. Ruth had completed hers in 2000 and I was just finishing my first year.  We also knew many of the same people, including the director of our respective seminaries (which happened to be the same person, Rev. Diane Berke).

Further discussion regarding what our small businesses were that we were trying to market revealed some other shared hidden dreams – one of them being an online community for people of many faiths to come together and learn from each other – to serve as a bridge between all spiritual paths. Once we found each other, those dreams began to grow and continued to evolve until we created what you see here.  A community for women spiritual leaders, since women are coming more and more to the forefront of the spiritual wave washing over the earth – to support them in their respective missions.

We decided to start this organization to serve women like us – women of all faiths and spiritual paths in their journey to be lights to the world. We also have struggled to support ourselves doing jobs and careers we had been trained to do in order to support our calling – what we knew we were meant to do. We are here to help you also get your mission off the ground so that you can “work it” full-time and still pay the bills! This is your place, this is where you can come to find knowledge, camaraderie and support.
